Schools are the backbones of our communities – so why do they never have the money they need?

Too many public school kids are stuck in schools with not enough teachers, no heating or cooling, and a lack of basic supplies like up-to-date textbooks. Our kids deserve more than that!

Working America members like you are speaking out to make sure everyone’s kid can get a good education – no matter where you live or how much money you make. Will you sign our petition now to increase funding for public schools?

Most states are spending less of their budget on education now than they were in 2006, according to the American Federation of Teachers. That means kids aren’t getting the resources they need to learn and grow. 

Working America is pushing for better education for everyone. We’re won more money for schools in state budgets, saved Houston schools from closing, and we’re rallying folks nationwide to support universal Pre-K for all.
