Team,

In just a moment, we’re going to ask you to donate directly to the Democratic National Committee. Please give us a chance to explain why this request is so important.

Here’s where things stand:

Polling shows that the presidential race is close. Extremely close. In some polls, Kamala Harris leads Trump by a few points. In others, she’s trailing. Some even show a tie.

With the margins this close, we cannot afford to lose ground anywhere. This means we need to stay competitive in multiple battleground states to maximize our chances of winning. And that requires a massive amount of resources.

Just a handful of votes in a couple of states could be the difference between winning and losing on November 5. With Election Day less than three weeks away and early voting already underway, we are running out of time to persuade the voters who will make all the difference.

On top of that, Trump and his allies are spending millions attacking Kamala Harris, Tim Walz, and Democrats up and down the ballot on television and online. This makes it even harder for us to break through.

This is why our fundraising goals are so important. They aren’t imaginary -- they are very real goals that we need to hit in order to have the resources we need to reach as many voters as possible before they head to the polls. And that’s where you come in.

You may not have woken up thinking today was the day you'd donate to the DNC, but we hope this explanation helped. So here's the part where we ask:

Can Kamala Harris, Tim Walz, and Democrats everywhere count on you to contribute directly to the Democratic National Committee before time runs out?

Thank you in advance for chipping in today. Your help now will go a long way in helping us win big in November.
