VIDEO OF THE DAY: Fox News host tries to catch Kamala in "gotcha" moment that backfires badly
Fox's Bret Baier was clearly performing for an audience of one after Trump melted down over the prospect of a Kamala Harris interview on the MAGA cult leader's home turf. And so, in order to appease the god king, Baier came in with guns blazing, but Harris passed the test with flying colors, proving why she is clearly the superior candidate in the race to lead the United States. JD Vance finally says "no," he does not think Trump lost in 2020
It only took weeks, but the MAGA cult leader's servile #2 finally said out loud what he refused to say on the debate stage against Gov. Tim Walz — that he does not believe, despite overwhelming and irrefutable evidence to the contrary — that Donald Trump lost the 2020 election. Quick reminder for those keeping score: Joe Biden won by more than 7 million votes and Trump lost more than 60 court cases challenging the result. Vance, feckless coward that is he, was too afraid to answer this incredibly straightforward question on the debate stage in front of tens of millions of viewers, but somehow found the courage yesterday in Williamsport, Virginia, when a reporter asked him for the umpteenth time. "I've answered this question directly a million times," Vance lied, before gobbledygooking, "No, I think there are serious problems in 2020. So did Donald Trump lose the election? Not by the words that I would use."

Are you ready to fight for abortion rights at EVERY LEVEL?
Center for Reproductive Rights: We may have lost the battle for Roe v. Wade, but the war for women's rights is FAR from over. The Center for Reproductive Rights is leading the charge to restore a woman's right to choose from state Houses to the Supreme Court by protecting providers, challenging bans, changing state constitutions, and pushing for legislation at the national level. Will you chip in to support them?
Trump defends spreading lies that immigrants are eating pets and "other things, too"
During a town hall hosted by the Spanish-language network Univision with undecided Latino voters, the disgraced ex-president defended spreading lies that Haitian immigrants are eating peoples’ pets in Springfield, Ohio, saying he was simply repeating "what was reported," despite local officials repeatedly debunking the baseless claims. "This was just reported, I was just saying what was reported," the MAGA cult leader said. "That’s been reported, and [they are] eating other things, too, that they're not supposed to be. All I do is report." Did you get that, folks? He doesn't lead. He doesn't make accusations. He doesn't opine. He simply reports. He's a reporter! Now if only his fellow "reporters" would hold him accountable for the certifiably insane bullshit he spews...

MAGA media figures claim FEMA committed treason, call for public hangings
The disgraced ex-president and his media allies have repeatedly promised retribution against government officials and the media if the MAGA cult leader wins a second term in office, and they're stopping at nothing to that end, including spreading baseless, deeply dangerous conspiracy theories about FEMA officials committing treason and government officials using weather manipulation to control hurricanes. Seriously. The attacks on FEMA officials are clearly coordinated, with right-wing podcast hosts and QAnon-aligned "media" figures all using the very loaded word "treason" to describe what is definitely not happening. SGT Report, a Trump-aligned, far-right show that promotes wild conspiracy theories, ran a recent episode that claimed FEMA is standing in the way of Hurricane Helene search and recovery and that "corrupt politicians should be tried and hanged from the neck until dead for their treason." But sure, Democrats and liberals need to tone down the overcharged rhetoric.

Mitch McConnell called Trump "stupid" and "despicable" in private after the 2020 election, a new book says
Nevertheless, Mitch persisted. The Senate minority leader enabled the MAGA cult leader for all four years of his disastrous presidency, famously thwarted the second impeachment of the fraudster for his Jan. 6 crimes, and did nothing to wrest control of the Republican Party from Donald's fascistic grip once he was unceremoniously ousted from office. Why? Because Donald Trump IS the Republican Party and McConnell is little more than a servile, power-hungry minion — a footnote in one of the sorriest chapters in modern American history. May the stain never wash away from whatever legacy McConnell believes he is leaving behind.

Judge slaps down last-minute rule changes by right-wing Georgia State Election Board
A Georgia judge has struck down a series of last-minute rules imposed by the state’s Trump-aligned election board — including a provision requiring poll workers to hand-count ballots on election night — declaring them unconstitutional and void. Superior Court Judge Thomas Cox said in an 11-page ruling that the rule changes authorized by the State Election Board last month exceeded the board’s legal authority and would have imposed cumbersome new procedures on election administrators. Georgia officials had warned that hand counting of the ballots could cause chaos on election night and possibly lead to errors in the battleground state. Donald's MAGA minions are almost certainly going to appeal, meaning this battle is far from over, but any stay in the last-minute maneuvering by radical Republicans to tilt the Peach State in Trump's favor is a welcomed development.

Trump tries to strike another hush money deal with Stormy Daniels ahead of election, says report
In what feels like a storyline ripped straight from a two-bit, AI-generated version of "Groundhog Day," Donald Trump has apparently tried to strike yet another hush money deal with adult film star Stormy Daniels in exchange for her silence ahead of the 2024 presidential election. Can we please be done with this goon of a cult leader once and for all in November?
Republican voter confronts Trump’s "inaction" during January 6 Capitol attack: "Disturbing to me"
During a town hall hosted by the Spanish-language television network Univision, a 56-year-old construction worker from Florida who identifies as a Republican called out Trump’s "disturbing" record in office, asking the kind of questions literally no one at Fox News, Newsmax, or any of the other softball outlets the MAGA cult leader frequents would ever dare pose. The disgraced ex-president's answer was predictably laughable and offensive. Something tells us he did not win back this gentleman's vote.
