Here’s the impact of our donors’ support in action:

MSF is operating in two hospitals and eight health care facilities in Gaza. In late August, MSF teams built two field hospitals in Deir Al Balah as violence inched closer to Al Aqsa Hospital. Since October 2023, our teams have performed over 7,500 surgeries for war-wounded people.

Our teams have provided over 18,300 individual mental health consultations. In Amman, Jordan, where MSF is providing care to the few patients who have been medically evacuated from Gaza, our mental health teams are treating children and families for post-traumatic stress disorder and acute stress syndrome.

In crowded displacement camps, people struggle to access basic needs like food, water, and sanitation. MSF has partnered with the Palestinian Agricultural Development Association (PARC) to provide sanitation services. Additionally, we provide more than 600,000 liters of water a day throughout the region.

MSF is supporting the last hospital providing maternity care in Khan Younis, Nasser Hospital, handling 25 to 30 deliveries a day. After being forced to flee after weeks of intense fighting in the area in February 2024, MSF teams returned in June and, with the Ministry of Health and other actors, reopened the maternity and pediatric wards.

Also at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, MSF staff are meeting the skyrocketing medical needs of children, including malnutrition. Between June 29 and July 5 alone, the pediatric emergency department provided more than 2,600 consultations.
