John, Generations of Americans have fought and died for the right to participate in our democracy by voting. Our vote is our voice, and our ability to be heard by our government is at the heart of what it means to be American. Now, when so much is uncertain and so many of us are struggling, it's more important than ever that we can hold elected officials to account at the ballot box. But we've seen the right to vote threatened during the coronavirus pandemic. Some elections have been postponed. But even more disturbingly, in Wisconsin we saw that when their primary election was held on schedule, without any accommodations due to the coronavirus, people had to make the difficult choice between their health and their right to vote. That's unconscionable. The stakes for our election in November could not be higher, especially in the midst of this pandemic. But we have to make sure people have the ability to vote safely without putting their lives at risk -- that's why we're calling for all Americans to have the right to vote from home and securely by mail. Let's make our voices heard: Add your name to our petition to call on states to implement vote-by-mail for every voter. We should be working to make voting easier, not harder. And at this difficult time, we also have to keep people's health in mind. Voting by mail is one of the most effective ways for us to make sure everyone has a safe, accessible way to vote while maintaining necessary social distance. And we know vote-by-mail works -- we prove that during every election here in Washington state. But in other states, fewer polling locations might mean folks have to wait in line for hours to vote, putting themselves and poll workers at risk of contracting the virus. No one should have to put their lives in danger to vote. That's why Team DelBene is signing onto this petition calling for all Americans to have the ability to vote by mail -- will you join us in supporting this cause? Thank you for taking action! Stay well, Team DelBene PO Box 477, Kirkland, WA 98083
