Tomorrow is Purple Thursday
Purple Thursday is a day during Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) where we come together and wear purple to raise awareness for domestic violence prevention and healing on a national level.
In honor of Purple Thursday, we are very excited to announce a special social media challenge with our friends at Thrive Causemetics. For every story and in-feed post TOMORROW using the hashtags #PurpleWithPurposeChallenge #thrivecausemetics on Instagram, Facebook, and Tiktok, Thrive will donate $1 to Peace Over Violence (up to $10,000!!). We are encouraging you and everyone we know to show off your favorite purple and post as a part of this challenge and help us reach the maximum donation. Get your purple ready now and make a plan to post and share tomorrow. Spread the word and make sure to include the two hashtags - every post counts and supports POV’s domestic violence programming. We’ve created some sample posts for you linked up in the toolkit below. Don’t forget to tag POV in your posts so we can see all the purple love!
