The Executive Branch of the United States federal government is charged with executing and enforcing the laws on the books. For nearly four years now, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have been asleep at the wheel, and more often not, negligent in discharging their duties.
It's no secret the US has seen the worst border crisis in the history of our country, with more than 11 million illegal encounters on our southern border--five times as many as under the Trump Administration. This crisis has seen the number of encounters with individuals on the terror watch list ballon 400% from the Trump years. Based on these figures alone, how can anyone in the Biden-Harris Administration even consider making the argument that they have prioritized Americans' safety?
Whether it be through parole system abuse, throwing the men and women of the US Border Patrol under the bus, or simply declining to actually take our laws seriously and secure the border, Biden and Harris (and definitely the disgraced Sec. Mayorkas) have put political objectives ahead of American lives.
But the threats to US national security go beyond our borders. This month, a suspected ISIS terrorist was arrested in Oklahoma after planning to stage an attack on American voters this Election Day. Why was such an individual even here? Because we are still dealing with the repercussions of the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan in the summer of 2021. The suspected terrorist was one of 76,000 refugees that were brought to the US as Afghanistan collapsed. The Biden-Harris Admin failed to properly vet all of these individuals in a stunning display of incompetence that has sadly become the norm for Biden's presidency.
Not only has national security taken a backseat under Biden and Harris, but so has public safety as well. The White House has continued to spout the lie that "crime is down," despite what the American people have experienced for themselves. In fact, the FBI recently and quietly released revised crime data for 2022, which shows that violent crime increased by 4.5% nationwide. When you look closely, the revised numbers for violent crime are even more damning:
- Rapes are up by 42%
- Robberies are up by 63%
- Aggravated assaults are up by 55%
These numbers fly in the face of the lies that the Biden, Harris and their allies in left-wing media continue to spread.
Whether it be on the border, the growing risk of terrorism, or crime in our streets, Americans' safety and our national security has been put at risk because of Biden and Harris' numerous failures in office.
