Dear A.,
The Wall Street Journal

reports on Israeli ground operations in southern Lebanon, where "thousands of [Israeli] troops are on the hunt for Hezbollah infrastructure along the border." The report details the danger the IDF is forced to confront — including ambushes, explosive devices and "direct contact with a foe in a mountainous battlefield that Hezbollah has spent years preparing."
Since ground operations in Lebanon began, Israel has seized "truckloads of weapons back to Israel, including many advanced Russian and Chinese antitank missiles."

Israel is continuing its operations in Lebanon to push the Iranian-backed terrorist group away from the border, destroy its terrorist infrastructure, and allow the 80,000+ displaced Israelis to return to their homes in the north.
In just the past 24 hours, the IDF has:
-
Eliminated dozens of Hezbollah terrorists, both from the ground and the air, including a Hezbollah district commander in southern Lebanon.
-
Located two Hezbollah weapons depots in a civilian area, seizing large amounts of weapons, including Kornet missiles, AT-3 Sagger missiles, shells, and 100+ mortars.
-
Intercepted dozens of rockets launched from Lebanon into Israeli communities.
While most of the rockets were successfully intercepted, several Israelis were injured by falling shrapnel — including three men and a woman in her 50s — and a home was destroyed in a direct hit.
Hours after a Hezbollah rocket barrage, Israel carried out airstrikes in the terror group’s stronghold in southern Beirut for the first time in days. The strikes targeted underground weapons depots based on precise intelligence and after warning civilians on the ground to evacuate.
Lebanese media is also reporting airstrikes in Hezbollah’s strongholds in eastern Lebanon, including the Bekaa Valley and Baalbek regions.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah said its terror operatives were locked in clashes with Israeli troops "at point-blank range" in southern Lebanon.

Israel approves Iran strike package
Israeli media

reports that Israeli political and military leaders have decided on a target package in Iran, in response to the regime’s unprecedented ballistic missile attack on October 1.
"The targets are clear. Now it’s a matter of time," the Israeli source said, noting that "the targets could also change at the 11th hour."
Separately, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant vowed that Israel "will soon respond" to Iran, saying that "it will be a precise and deadly response."
New report: Inside Hezbollah’s exploding pagers
A Reuters

report provides new details on the pager explosions in September that killed and injured thousands of Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon and Syria.
The pagers, which Hezbollah received in February and scanned for explosives, had a custom-designed battery "that concealed a small but potent charge of plastic explosive and a novel detonator that was invisible to X-ray."
To circumvent Hezbollah’s "serious procurement procedures," "fake online stores, pages and posts" were created to make the custom pagers appear genuine.
Hezbollah is conducting an internal investigation on the attack, but the investigation "suffered a setback" when "eleven days after the pager attack, the senior Hezbollah official tasked with leading the procurement probe, Nabil Kaouk, was himself killed by an Israeli airstrike."
Picture of the Day: It all comes back to Iran.

met in Oman this week with Mohammed Abdelsalam, a senior official from the Houthis, Iran’s Yemen-based terrorist proxy.
Backed by Iran, the Houthis have launched ballistic missiles at the Jewish state, killed an Israeli in a drone attack, and attacked U.S. Navy ships in the Red Sea.
Iran arms and funds terrorist groups that are attacking U.S. troops and our allies. America must fully enforce sanctions on Iran and cut off the cash flow to the regime.
