For too long, Israel has occupied Palestinian territories in defiance of international law. While the world speaks out, Israel continues its illegal military presence in Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem. This is an attack on the right of Palestinians to self-determination and dignity.
In September, Palestine secured its seat among United Nations member states for the first time, a historic moment acknowledging its status and fight for recognition. The UN International Court of Justice declared Israel’s occupation illegal, ruling that Israel must end its occupation as rapidly as possible.
Yet, despite overwhelming support from 124 countries for a resolution demanding Israel’s withdrawal, the United States shamefully vetoed Palestine's full membership, keeping them from having a real voice in the UN.
The Israeli occupation is a violation of international law. As long as Israeli forces remain in these territories, peace will be impossible, and the rights of millions of Palestinians will be trampled on daily.
Stand with Palestine and demand Israel's immediate withdrawal from the occupied territories now!
The world cannot remain silent. Palestinians are entitled to live free from military occupation, in control of their land and their futures. Israel’s continued defiance of international rulings is a stain on global justice and the cause of needless suffering.
With each day that passes, more lives are lost, more homes are destroyed, and the hope for peace dims.
The UN International Court of Justice has spoken, and now it’s time for Israel to act. Immediate withdrawal is the only acceptable solution.
Stand with Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib and work to put an end to this illegal occupation. Demand Israel comply with international law and pave the way for a peaceful and self-determined Palestinian state.
