There is so much at stake this November with the presidential election, congressional races, state races, and ballot initiatives. The lawmakers we elect in 2024 will have impacts on policy that will last for decades. This Election Day, we are voting for our futures.

One of the top issues for voters this election is abortion rights. Even in states where abortion is currently legal, bodily autonomy hangs in the balance. If Donald Trump secures victory in November and enacts his Project 2025 plans, women across the country stand to lose access to abortion, IVF, and even contraception. 

We need pro-choice lawmakers in office if we are going to protect women’s reproductive freedom at the federal and state levels. We need to win if we are going to protect bodily autonomy. Donald Trump, after appointing the Supreme Court justices who ripped away reproductive freedom from millions of Americans, has been lying about his abortion stance because he knows the majority of Americans in every state strongly support the right to choose what happens to your own body. We can’t trust a word that comes out of his mouth—especially when it comes to reproductive freedom.

We can’t give Donald Trump and the rest of the GOP the chance to restrict our rights and bodies even further.
