John,

Welcome to the latest edition of Emily’s Notes — updates directly from the campaign trail! Here are a few highlights from the last few weeks:

• This is a big one: I had the pleasure of meeting the great Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi! Rep. Pelosi has an unparalleled record of accomplishment — including her instrumental role in passing the Affordable Care Act [[link removed]] and a decades-long commitment to fighting for LGBTQ+ rights. • I stood in solidarity with members of IAM 751 and the more than 33,000+ Boeing workers on strike [[link removed]] for better wages, a secure retirement, and respect and dignity at the workplace. Rebuilding trust starts with listening to your workers!

• I joined the Women’s March for Humanity in Sequim and served as the Keynote Speaker! I was inspired by the huge turnout [[link removed]] of people of ALL genders and ALL ages making their voices heard for democracy, empathy, and civic participation.

Now, this is the part where I ask for your help.

Our final fundraising reporting deadline is tonight at midnight, and ballots drop for most Washingtonians on October 18. (And military ballots have already been sent!) The election isn't “close,” it’s HERE.

My Republican opponent has voted against Unions, LGBTQ+ equality, and reproductive freedom his entire career. And he’s telling his supporters that he has a poll showing him defeating me by one point.

Washington’s 6th District covers an enormous area. We’ve got cities, suburbs, rural areas, and a massive national park in the middle. We’re knocking on as many doors as possible, but we need all the tools in the toolbox to reach 6th District voters: TV ads, digital ads, mailers, texts, and more.

Added up, those tools are expensive, and we don’t have Corporate PAC money to close our budget gap. Can you chip in $6, $26, or any amount today to fuel our voter turnout operation in the homestretch? [[link removed]]

More Emily’s Notes to come — but in the meantime, you can follow the campaign on Facebook [[link removed]] , Twitter [[link removed]] , Instagram [[link removed]] , and TikTok [[link removed]] .

Thanks, and have a great day!

— Emily
