Update on the Search for a County Administrator

The search for a new, permanent Ottawa County Administrator is underway. W Talent Solutions, a premier executive recruitment firm headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is leading the search for the County’s chief executive. The search is being conducted in coordination with County Administration and oversight from the Board of Commissioners’ Executive Transition Committee.

Jon Anderson, who had been serving as Interim County Administrator since March, recently resigned. Anderson served for decades in Law Enforcement and is a local business owner. He has been a public servant, professional, and someone who prioritized effective communication and dialogue. His leadership will be missed. We wish him the best as he pursues his other professional endeavors.

Deputy Administrator Ben Wetmore has stepped in to continue County operations in Anderson’s absence. Administration is committed to assisting W Talent Solutions in the recruitment of a new county administrator.
