Dr. Washington serves as President of George Mason University (Mason) - Virginia's largest and most diverse public university, a top-tier research institution that has rapidly emerged as a leader in innovation, entrepreneurship and social mobility for students of all backgrounds. Dr. Washington, a first-generation college graduate and the first Black president in Mason's history, brings a wealth of lived and learned experience and passion to both his role as Mason's president and as a champion for social and economic impact. Dr. Washington will deliver the keynote shortly after this year's Spirit of Community Award Honorees are recognized from the stage and through short profile videos produced by our friends at Lens End Media. Filming for this year's videos has wrapped, and we can't wait to share the Honorees' stories with you through these premieres at the event.
