Friend, it’s Gary Peters, chair of the DSCC. I'm sorry for the longer message, but with so much at stake for our Senate majority, I needed to make sure you know what we’re fighting for – and how you can make a difference.

Right now, the GOP is doing everything in their power to flip the Senate red and push their ultraconservative agenda across the country. And with Democrats defending nearly twice as many seats as Republicans, there’s simply no room for error.

What we do between now and November 5th to help Democrats win their crucial Senate races will be what determines our Senate majority. And hitting my $20,000 mid-month fundraising goal by midnight is a critical step to ensuring Democrats pull ahead in key battleground states.

So I have to ask: Will you chip in $5 or more right now before our mid-month deadline to help us keep the Senate blue?

As chair of the DSCC, it’s my job to make sure that Democrats in make-or-break Senate races – including incumbents like Sherrod Brown in Ohio and Jon Tester in Montana – are winning their elections. And I know that if we band together behind them in this critical moment, the GOP won’t stand a chance against them.

Not only that, but Ted Cruz is the most vulnerable Republican seeking reelection this cycle. My friend Colin Allred is running a strong race against Cruz and gaining ground in the polls. While the road ahead is tough, I’m confident that with grassroots folks like you standing by him, we have a real shot at pushing Allred to victory.

The GOP knows this, friend. They see Democrats gaining ground in their states and rallying grassroots supporters behind them. That’s why they’re spending like crazy, dishing out every single megadonor dollar they have on hand to try and beat these Democratic candidates.

I know a $5 grassroots donation might not seem like much when you look at the millions of dollars the GOP raised last year – but if each and every one of us chips in just $5, we’ll have all the resources we need to defend our Senate majority and make sure our country doesn’t fall into the hands of extremists.
