John,
More than 17 states have begun early voting, which means that every day through November 5th is Election Day.1
There’s no time to waste and we’re doing all we can to get voters to the polls! We’re providing voters in swing states with critical information, helping them make a plan to vote, including:
-
Knowing what the voter registration deadline is in their state.
-
Making sure their voter registration is up to date and that they haven’t been mistakenly removed from the voter rolls.
-
Finding their polling location and early vote options, including vote by mail, in person voting, and finding ballot drop boxes.
If you haven’t voted yet, click here to make a plan to vote.
We’re writing tens of thousands of letters to infrequent voters in the swing states of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. We’re hosting text bank parties, helping you reach your personal networks, ensuring they know what’s on the line in this election. We’re providing voter guides to our nonprofit partners on the ground in key states, and just last week I joined Nuns on the Bus & Friends on part of their “Vote Our Future” cross-country bus tour, participating in in-person events in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Illinois.
We spoke with voters about the issues impacting their families—and at one town hall in Detroit, a woman, choked with emotion, spoke of her fear that this could be our last election if people do not vote to preserve democracy.
With 20 days until Election Day, our work is not done. Chip in $20 today to power our Vote for Human Needs campaign to help ensure we continue to reach thousands of voters each day through Election Day.

The Presidency, all 435 seats in the House of Representatives, and 33 Senate seats are up for grabs. (As well as many state and local elections and ballot questions.)
We have a choice to make: do we want a country full of divisiveness, bigotry, and where programs for human needs are eliminated? Or do we want a country where, to use our impassioned call-and-response during the Nuns on the Bus & Friends tour, “Everyone thrives - no exceptions!” Can we strengthen our celebration of multiculturalism and pluralism and build funding for critical human needs programs?
What kind of country do we want to live in?
We are fighting against some of the most stringent voter suppression laws we have seen in history. In 2024, voters in 28 states will face voter restrictions that were not in place during the 2020 presidential election.2 These anti-democracy laws are a reaction to the historic, multiracial voter turnout we witnessed in the 2020 presidential election and the 2022 midterm elections.
We won’t have a true democracy unless every eligible voter has access to the ballot box.
Donate $20 today to power our Vote for Human Needs campaign over the final 20 days of this critical election to help us fight for a multicultural, multiracial, multifaith democracy where everyone has equal access to the ballot box.
