The WAVE Virtual Action Team is an opportunity to connect with other passionate advocates and make an impact. Every month, we’ll meet to discuss progress, hear updates on the latest gun violence prevention efforts, and take actions that drive real change in our communities. Whether it’s reaching out to legislators, supporting voter engagement, or spreading awareness, your participation will help protect lives across Wisconsin.
What You Can Expect
Monthly Meetings: We'll meet once a month to get updates on gun violence prevention, hear from guest speakers, and stay informed about our progress.
Direct Actions: Each month, we’ll take action together. From contacting legislators to encouraging voter registration, every effort will contribute to our shared mission of reducing gun violence.
Our October Meeting
Our first meeting will be held on October 23rd, with two times available: noon and 6 pm. We’ll start with a presentation from the Violence Policy Center on their new report, Gun Death in Wisconsin, followed by an explanation of what our action team will do moving forward. You’ll also have the opportunity to share updates from your local area, and we’ll wrap up by making sure our loved ones have a plan to vote on November 5th.
