TAMMY BALDWIN FOR SENATE

Good morning. In a moment, I’ll ask you to chip in before tonight’s final FEC public fundraising deadline before Election Day. But first, I want to explain why your support is so important.

I’ll be honest, I’m concerned. Every bit of news coming out of our Senate race has been about my opponent picking up momentum.

First it was the polling — consecutive polls have indicated this race is statistically tied, and a recent memo leaked by Senate Republicans revealed that Eric Hovde has taken a one-point lead.

Then it was the race rating shifts. Two election experts recently downgraded Wisconsin’s Senate race from “Leans Democrat” to “Toss Up.”

And now, it’s the ongoing flood of Republican spending. $71 million has already been spent against me by Eric Hovde and his GOP allies, and Mitch McConnell’s super PAC just greenlit a $24 million ad buy to finish the job.

We’re sounding the alarm bells about this race because we’re running out of time to reverse these concerning trends.

Turning the tides starts tonight. When we submit our last fundraising report to the FEC after tonight’s deadline, we have an opportunity to show that our grassroots campaign to keep this seat blue is thriving and up for the challenge — anything less will invite even more Republican spending and attack ads.

So, will you help us reach our goal before tonight’s midnight deadline? We need everyone off the sideline in order to defend this seat from my right-wing opponent.
