Hi, John, it’s Gregg Popovich. You might recognize me as the head coach for the San Antonio Spurs, but today, I’m reaching out to you as a Texan who is deeply concerned about the upcoming execution of Robert Roberson — an innocent father who is scheduled for execution tomorrow.
Every American should be alarmed and moved to action by the fact that another innocent person could be put to death tomorrow — especially for a crime that never occurred. John, will you join me in urging Texas Gov. Greg Abbott to stop this execution before it's too late?

Since attending the Innocence Network Conference in San Antonio in 2016, I’ve been a staunch supporter of the Innocence Project and Innocence Network — and have been following their cases as closely as possible.
Robert is yet another innocent Texan who has lost years of his life while on death row — and who will soon pay the ultimate price unless Gov. Abbott intervenes.
The most important things that we can do to help stop Robert's execution are to make a call to Gov. Abbott's office and spread the word on social media. Every voice matters here. The more noise we make, the more likely we are to help stop this execution.
