Solidarity Vigil.” Organized by Penn Faculty for Justice in Palestine, in conjunction with Penn Students Against the Occupation of Palestine and Penn JVP along with groups not connected to the university, the rally took over several streets, halting traffic. Demonstrators, including faculty members, accused the University of complicity in “genocide” due to its ties with Ghost Robotics, a company allegedly involved with Israeli military operations.

Auraria Campus. Earlier this year, police arrested or issued summons to dozens of anti-Israel protesters at an encampment on this campus shared by The University of Colorado-Denver, the Community College of Denver and Metropolitan State University. Now, in a disappointing move, city prosecutors are

backing away, dropping charges against a number of the protesters, though some cases remain ongoing. One professor, who faced charges for trespassing and failure to obey a police officer, expressed relief and frustration after the charges were dropped, complaining that the process was “an absolutely miserable and totally unnecessary experience” — an ironic take, given the disruption caused by the protests.

Swarthmore. In a shocking effort to praise the terrorists who murdered Israelis a year ago, the SJP chapter at Swarthmore College posted a fundraising note online asking for donations “in honor of this glorious day and all our martyred revolutionaries.” The post was met with a stinging and appropriate response from

Stephanie Ives, VP for Student Affairs at this Pennsylvania college, who said, “Swarthmore College condemns the statements made in the SJP Instagram post and rejects the glorification of violence. Celebrating the killing of innocent people is shocking and reprehensible. I would hope, despite all the various and often opposing views that exist at Swarthmore, we can at least agree on that.”

Hamilton College. A student at Hamilton College has been

taken into custody for vandalizing a community mural with antisemitic graffiti. The New York State Police, working with Campus Safety, were able to identify the student after reviewing video surveillance footage and conducting interviews. The student admitted to the crime and has been suspended from campus. In a statement, Hamilton expressed gratitude to law enforcement and reaffirmed its commitment “to maintaining a safe campus free from bias acts, discrimination or harassment, where students have full access to their education and where all people are treated with respect.”

Harvard Hillel and elsewhere, both on and off-campus. The disturbing incident is being investigated by both the Cambridge Police and Harvard University Police. Jason B. Rubenstein, Harvard Hillel Executive Director, explains that this is just the latest in a troubling pattern of antisemitic and anti-Israel manifestations at Harvard. “First ... this was happening on social media, and then there were calls for escalation,” he said. “Now, we’re seeing it happen physically... just a few feet from the Hillel building.”

Glossing over hatred. Columbia alum and lecturer Menachem Rosensaft

shredded the latest edition of Columbia Magazine, a glossy publication sent to hundreds of thousands of Columbia University grads. Rosensaft expressed his dismay at the magazine’s complete failure to address the rising antisemitism tearing through Columbia since Oct. 7. "I was and am appalled at the magazine’s ostrich-like failure to in any way acknowledge, let alone confront, the antisemitic scourge that has been and is tearing Columbia apart." He notes a laundry list of the anti-Israel outrages at the school since 10/7, and calls on university leadership to prioritize the protection of Jewish students.

Scholars Stand Strong. The horrific antisemitic incidents and anti-Zionist and anti-Israel campus protests after Oct. 7 inspired an empowering initiative from Sinai Temple in Los Angeles.

The Beren Scholars Program includes dozens of college students who will join seminars about the roots of antisemitism and how to identify it. ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt and other well-known speakers are taking part in the program, which is set to expand nationally in 2025 by partnering with other synagogues. Rabbi Erez Sherman, leader of the program stated, “I want them to realize that when they share their story, people are going to respect them more than if they hide that story.”

Springsteen or Springstein? At the USC Shoah Foundation's 30th Anniversary gala, Bruce Springsteen had the crowd laughing as he shared how people often mistake him as being Jewish, with some even spelling his last name "

Springstein. " “This happened as late as a month ago,” he joked. Although The Boss was raised Catholic, he has a long history of supporting Jewish causes and took to the stage to perform at the gala, praising the Shoah Foundation. He noted that their mission — recording, preserving and sharing testimonies of Holocaust survivors — is similar to that of songwriting.

The “Beautiful Game” in Action. Following Italy’s victory over Israel in their Nations League soccer match, a heartwarming display of solidarity filled the stadium.

Fans stood and sang along to Israel’s national anthem, Hatikvah, while Israeli flags waved proudly in the stands. Soccer is often referred to as “the beautiful game.” Moments like this remind us why.

a sukkah has been built aboard the aircraft carrier in a powerful display of Jewish faith and tradition. Organized by Chabad-Lubavitch representative and chaplain Lieutenant Yehoshua Rubin, the sukkah found its place on the carrier’s weather deck, a spot open to the sky as required by Jewish tradition. Despite logistical hurdles, including obtaining a lulav and etrog from Bahrain, the sukkah now stands as a symbol of how Jewish life can flourish even in the heart of military operations.
