Hello --
I wanted to reach out and make sure you saw Antonio's email on the essential need to implement vote by mail measures, nationally, this year.
As New Yorkers, we're acutely aware of the challenges that this virus poses to our communities.
We should not be forcing Americans to choose between casting their ballots and protecting their health and safety -- and we don't have to.
Congress can pass legislation for vote-by-mail and provide funding for states to make the transition. This is not a partisan issue. Making sure that all Americans can practice their constitutional right to vote, safely, should be a chief priority for Democrats and Republicans.
If you agree, urge Congress to make it easy for all Americans to vote by mail.
Thank you,

Friend,
Our fundamental right to vote is being threatened by the coronavirus, and it's a threat that I take very seriously. No one should have to decide between having their voice heard in our democracy and their health -- or possibly their life.
Unfortunately, our country just isn’t prepared right now to handle what it would take to keep voters safe while keeping our elections going. And that is a threat to our entire democracy.
So, I'm joining a coalition to implement vote-by-mail (VBM) for all Americans for local, state, and federal elections through 2020. This is a big change to our elections. To get it done, we need a grassroots movement of people raising their voices, demanding our government act.
If you agree that people should have access to the ballot box from the safety of their homes, please sign our petition and urge Congress to implement vote-by-mail.
We're already seeing a rash of problems arising from traditional voting methods during the pandemic.
Poll workers have gotten sick, we are risking a significant decrease in voter participation, and Wisconsin forced voters to the polls in a horrific partisan act.
With expectations that this pandemic will be with us well into the fall, we need to take action and protect ballot access for every American so everyone can have their voices heard. Our best way to do that is to provide a safe, secure method of voting: namely, VBM.
If you agree, please sign our petition and urge Congress to pass nationwide VBM measures and funding for states to make the transition.
Thank you,
Antonio
