After a year of deep reflection, strategizing, and re-imagining, Headwaters Foundation for Justice is taking a historic step toward a co-leadership model. You heard a lot from us during the recruitment phase. Now we get to introduce the powerhouse that is Headwaters' 9th cohort of the Giving Project! Over the course of six months, this group will develop a shared understanding of race, class, gender, and power, make a personally meaningful monetary gift, fundraise their network through donor organizing, and practice collective grantmaking to meet this goal. Our radical approach to donor organizing and our philosophies around philanthropy as an institution founded on our nation’s racial wealth divide have us DAF’ing differently.
