John,
I had my debate with Anthony D’Esposito last night – I’m glad that I had the opportunity to talk about my plan for making progress for Long Island families in Congress.
While Anthony D’Esposito was dodging responsibility, I held him accountable for wasting taxpayer dollars to give a no-show job to his mistress. He’s shown he serves his own self-interests and not Long Island families.
Reproductive rights are personal to women across the country. I shared a personal story about receiving abortion care and reaffirmed my commitment to protecting reproductive freedom for every woman across Long Island. But Anthony D’Esposito has time and time again voted to restrict reproductive rights, specifically voted to take away the right to abortion for women in the military.
Anthony D’Esposito held zero town halls in the district, but in my time as a Town Supervisor, I held more than a dozen town halls to directly hear from voters on issues that matter most and get things done for families.
It's clear that there’s only one candidate in this race who is ready to defend reproductive rights, protect our democracy and lower costs for working families across Long Island. I’m proud to be that candidate and you can count on me to deliver progress and be a champion for our district in Congress.
But polls show this toss-up race is close and it will take significant resources to defeat Anthony D’Esposito this November.
Will you contribute $25 or whatever you can to help us reach our must-hit final $50,000 FEC fundraising goal tonight? Every dollar has an immediate impact with just 20 days to go!
