Friend — It’s Ilhan.

You may have seen some of the images coming out of Gaza over the last few days.

They are more haunting and more terrifying than perhaps anything we have seen over the last year of destruction. And it comes at a time when Israel isn’t allowing humanitarian aid to get to people in Northern Gaza who face famine conditions.

Israel’s continued bombing and assault of the occupied Gaza strip under the leadership of Benjamin Netanyahu has been one of the most devastating and staggering conflicts in modern history.

International law has been thrown out the window. War crimes and human rights abuses are committed without consequence. Children and babies are killed at a rate never before seen. For Palestinians in Gaza there is no safety, no rest, no way to avoid the wanton violence of the Israeli military.

Friend, I have been clear in my conviction that this is a genocide. One enabled by US bombs and ammunition.

We’ve fought for months for a ceasefire, and we will continue that fight. But Netanyahu just isn’t interested. He doesn’t care how many innocent lives are taken. He wants to “finish the job.”

That’s why it’s past time to cut off Netanyahu and use our leverage to end his assault on Gaza. We have a moral imperative to end US complicity in war crimes, stop the bombing, reach a lasting ceasefire, and commit to an end to the Israeli occupation of Gaza and the West Bank.

This is heart wrenching. The last year has left many hopeless. But we can’t give up. We have no choice but to stand together, organize, and do everything we can for the Palestinian people.
