WHAT: Public Accuracy Tests of the equipment to be used in the Oakland County Absent Voter Counting Board (AVCB) as well as Early Voting for the November 5, 2024 elections.
WHEN: Early Voting: Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 8:30 a.m. Friday, October 18, 2024, at 8:30 a.m. AVCB: Monday, October 21, 2024, at 9:00 a.m.
WHERE: Oakland County Board of Canvassers Training Room Oakland County Courthouse 1200 N. Telegraph Rd., Pontiac, MI 48341 (use north entrance)
WHY: The Public Accuracy Test is conducted to verify the functionality, accuracy and security of the voting equipment to be used for the AVCB and early voting.
"The public testing of election equipment is done before every election to ensure our elections are accurate and secure,” said Oakland County Clerk/ Register of Deeds Lisa Brown. “I encourage anyone with an interest in how our elections are administered to join us at one of these Public Accuracy Tests and observe for yourself some of the measures taken to ensure our elections are secure and accurate.”
