We have also learned, via Speaker Johnson, that FEMA has only spent a small percentage of their available funds on helping Americans.
Personally, I find this to be an outrage. I think it must be intentional- Kamala Harris trying to stick it to a region that voted almost 2/3 for Trump over Biden.
There must be investigations into the FEMA blunder. It's inexcusable.
But the response of NC's Democrat Governor is worse. Not only is he calling for the resignation of NC's Republican Lt. Governor Mark Robinson- who is the only one on the ground, helping coordinate private relief efforts- but his State Board of Election is playing games with the plan for Western NC to vote.
The NCGOP had this to say:
The Disaster Recovery Act was designed to aid recovery efforts and ensure continued access to the democratic process. The NCSBE’s current stance is effectively disenfranchising voters in Western North Carolina.
“The State Board of Elections needs to uphold their oaths and stop their selective interpretation of legislation at once. They are creating unnecessary barriers to voting for communities that have already suffered tremendous hardship,” said NCGOP Chairman

. The country needs Trump and Vance to get elected- and they need North Carolina in order to win. We need Western NC to vote- and RVPAC can help them get on their feet AND help them vote!
Simply put: the Dems are playing games, both with the rescue and recovery of Western NC, and with the voting plan.
