We are going to get through the coronavirus outbreak together. If you are experiencing symptoms or are looking for more information, you can visit the website of the CDC or the Illinois Department of Health. We are closely monitoring the situation and its effects on the people of Illinois and our nation as we work together to keep our families and communities safe.
Teachers are among the most vital, hardest-working, and passionate public servants — yet they are also among the most underappreciated and underpaid. And the coronavirus crisis is making things worse for our teachers and public schools. Teachers are working hard to transition to remote learning and keep students engaged. But 1 In 5 Chicago students lack broadband access, and about 115,00 students don’t have a computer. This digital divide is unacceptable. We want to thank our teachers who work hard — both in and out of the classroom — to give our kids the support and inspiration they need to succeed. Let’s show our hardworking teachers how much we appreciate them. Pitch in $10 or whatever you can to support me and other candidates focused on bettering our public schools >>> Teachers are doing the best they can to make sure that every student has what they need to learn from a distance. But we need to step up to get our teachers and public schools the resources they need. Our movement is dedicated to putting public schools and teachers first. Every child deserves access to quality education — no matter what neighborhood they live in. Together, we will empower our communities and protect our teachers and public schools. ¡Sí Se Puede!
