Volunteering is a hands-on way for you to make a tangible impact in our community.

Dear John,

Hunger disrupts life for too many in our community, including families like the Gibsons. Today, I want to share Erycka’s story with you because your role has never been more crucial.

Erycka is in high school and a member of her JV basketball team. She is determined to make the Varsity team this year, a goal that requires immense practice, patience, and energy.

She idolizes Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese from the WNBA and aspires to surpass them one day. However, hunger is standing in Erycka’s way.

She struggles to focus in school and tires easily at practice because she’s not getting enough to eat at home. The lack of proper nutrition is not only affecting her performance on the court but also her ability to achieve her dreams.

Will you will take action with us to end hunger today?

As we wrap-up our Fall Food Drive, here’s how you can make a difference to help Erycka and her family:

1) Volunteer: Help us organize, pack, and distribute food. Volunteer slots are still available next week.

2) Host a Food Drive (online or in-person): Gather your friends, family, and coworkers to collect non-perishable food items. Drop-off is next week!

3) Donate: If you’re unable to volunteer or host a food drive, please consider donating instead.

Your support will directly impact Erycka’s ability to focus in school, excel in sports, and chase her dreams. Together, we’ll ensure that hunger doesn’t stand in the way of any child’s future.

With gratitude,

Sarah
