Team,
My journey, like that of so many Latino families, is rooted in hard work and sacrifice. Nothing represents the resilience of the Hispanic community more than my first-gen parents, an industrial mechanic and an elementary school teacher, who fought to ensure that all 7 of their children received a quality higher education.
Their perseverance drives my passion for fighting for working families just like mine in Congress.
- Last year, I became the first woman to lead BOLD PAC, and with that responsibility comes a mission–to elevate Latino voices in leadership and ensure our communities are represented in Washington
- This year, the Ways and Means Committee selected me as the first Latina to serve as ranking member of the Subcommittee on Oversight
Hispanic Heritage Month may be coming to a close today, but our commitment to uplifting our communities continues. We need leaders who will continue to champion our values and protect the progress we’ve made.
Your support is what powers our movement forward. With our final FEC deadline tomorrow, will you chip in $5 to help elect more Latino leaders and keep fighting for our future?
