John,
A candidate must win 270 electoral college votes to win the presidency.
This year, 93 electoral votes are up for grabs across seven swing states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
Kamala Harris needs 44 of those votes to reach 270.
She has several paths to victory. None will be easy.
[GIF map of the U.S., with each state’s electoral vote count labeled and an electoral vote total bar up top. First, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania are highlighted as the first path to 270 electoral college votes. Second, Wisconsin, Michigan, Georgia, and Arizona are highlighted as the second path to 278 electoral college votes. Third, Nevada, Arizona, Georgia, and North Carolina are highlighted as the third path to 275 electoral college votes.]
Experts predict this will be the closest presidential race in modern U.S. history. As of today, VP Harris is polling within the margin of error in EVERY swing state.
So for the next 21 days, we're doing everything in our power to help her pull ahead.
