Paul Begala

Hey there, Paul Begala here.

I’ve spent decades working alongside top Democrats in tough races – so I know firsthand what it takes to win.

There are only 21 days left until Election Day, which means it’s crunch time. Now more than ever, we need to make sure our Democrats in toss-up races across the country have the resources they need to win. So I’m asking today, can you chip in $3 to elect Democratic governors and secure Democratic victories up and down the ballot? Until midnight Thursday, your donation will even be DOUBLE-MATCHED up to the DGA’s final mid-month goal of $100,000.

Democrats are locked in high stakes races in must-win battleground states North Carolina and New Hampshire. Here’s my latest analysis:

North Carolina → Republican nominee Mark Robinson is a dangerous conspiracy theorist who wants to ban abortion, roll back voting rights and ramp up attacks on the LGBTQ+ community and with statewide races in North Carolina consistently being decided by the smallest margins – a handful of votes out of the millions cast – it is crucial that we don’t let up the gas here. North Carolina could also potentially play a decisive role in the presidential election. Keeping the governor's mansion blue could be a critical step towards winning the Tar Heel State for Kamala Harris.
New Hampshire → Polls have consistently shown that this will be the closest governors’ race in the country this year. Republicans have nominated Kelly Ayotte – who spent her time in the U.S. Senate advocating for a national abortion ban – while Democrats nominated Joyce Craig, the popular former mayor of Manchester, who will protect and expand access to reproductive health care. The GOP is nervous about this race and they’re rushing money to the Granite State. So it is essential that Democrats do everything they can in the next 21 days to fight back to flip New Hampshire blue.
I know Democrats can win races like these and other competitive elections across the country in just 21 days, but take it from me – this won’t be easy, and the DGA can’t do it alone.

It’s going to take this grassroots team stepping up to make sure our Democrats can compete with the onslaught of GOP dark money attacks all the way to the finish line.

Team, can I count on you to rush $3 to the Democratic Governors Association before midnight to help them hit their critical final mid-month deadline? Your donation will be 2X-MATCHED up to their $100,000 fundraising goal – but only until Thursday at midnight .
