In the aftermath of the Mueller Investigation one of the least reported findings of the case was that the FBI uncovered hard evidence of extensive collusion between close Trump associates and the highest levels of the Israeli government.
In fact, while the Mueller Investigation was never able to definitively prove Trump-Russia collusion they were able to provide concrete evidence that Israel played a massive role in helping to turn the tide for Trump.
Among the FBI’s findings, was that Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu dispatched a discreet, highly trusted aide, armed with critical intelligence, to covertly “intervene” in the US election to help put Trump in the White House.
Potential criminal charges laid out by the FBI documents on Israeli efforts to sway the 2016 election included:
- Violation of the foreign contributions ban, which prohibits foreigners from contributing money or something of value to federal, state, or local elections.
- Aiding and abetting
- Conspiracy, wire fraud, and attempted conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
- Another charge, “unauthorized access to a protected computer,” indicates Israel may have conducted illegal hacking operations.
It has now been 8 years since Israel undertook its initial operation to help get Trump into power and today the stakes for Israel are even higher.
Israel’s hold on power is the most tenuous it’s ever been. They are surrounded by enemies on all sides on the brink of cataclysmic regional war. And after a year of indiscriminate bombing the global community sees Israel as a pariah.
