JOHN,Tonight, at 7pm, ABC will air a live interview with me...in what was supposed to be the ONE televised debate of my Congressional race.
Why? My opponent backed out.
The debate was supposed to be live in the ABC studio tonight at 7pm. Both my campaign and hers had agreed to that date and time.
Then, I received an email from ABC letting me know that her campaign had a conflict and wanted to reschedule. Because I think that voters should learn as much as they can about candidates before they vote, I agreed to reschedule. The next email came as a shock.
My opponent refused to debate me on live TV.
The time is now to get our message out to voters. There is a stark difference between my positive message of solving the very real problems facing our country right now...and her consistently negative and false advertising.

The Forum last week went well in the sense that I was able to communicate practical solutions to the very real problems our country is facing now, mainly due to the current administration. The picture above shows April and me at the end of the forum, surrounded by some of the best volunteers in the world.
However, it is very possible that after my opponent's angry outbursts at the end of the Forum in Frederick last week, she doesn't want to risk talking through issues with me.
During the forum, she accused me of being divisive. I let it roll off, focusing on the issues. At the very end, she accused me again. So, in my closing statement, I pointed out that she has done nothing but attack me in her advertisements, saying nothing of her own record.
As I say in my commercial, "My opponent can't run on her record, so she's making up stories about mine." I must have struck a nerve, because her outburst was shocking. Even after I got up and walked away, she cupped her hands around her mouth and continued shouting at me.
