First, from our ongoing Speaker Series, 350 Chicago hosted Linda Larsen, the Associate Director of Research at the Climate Jobs Institute at the ?University of Illinois. During her presentation, Ms. Larsen discussed the transition to clean energy in Illinois as spurred by the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act passed in 2021.

For our next two videos debuting this week, 350 Chicago collaborated with multiple 350 groups to provide our viewers with information about Regenerative Agriculture and the fight to hold Investor Owned Utilities (IOU's) Accountable.
During The Power of Regenerative Agriculture webinar, 350 Chicago cooperated with several 350 Chapters across the nation including, 350 Marin, 350 Wisconsin, 350 Colorado and 350 Triangle to produce the video discussing the climate advantages of regenerative agriculture. The webinar featured regenerative farmer and Author/Advocate Gabe Brown from the documentaries Kiss the Ground and Uncommon Ground, Dr. Anya Knect, a regenerative farmer, Assistant Director at I-Regen at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and owner and researcher at Knect Consulting and Design LLC and Erin Mayer, founder and Executive ?Director of Basils Harvest and is a clinical associate at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Peoria, and is a chef and registered dietitian.

As a general member of the 350 Network Council(NC), 350 Chicago hosted the 350 NC's Teach-In, Energy for Everyone. The Network Council consists of the 16 largest 350 chapters from across the nation. The NC recently launched the Energy for Everyone campaign to fight for clean, safe and affordable energy and to take on the IOU's for their business and lobbying practices, high utility rates that leave many ratepayers in debt and their efforts to prevent the transition to a clean energy economy.

350 Chicago's Speaker Series occurs on a monthly basis virtually and/or in person. We will be posting future videos over the next few months following each event. We will have a number of great speakers scheduled throughout 2025.
350 Chicago also intends to continue working with other 350 groups and organizations to bring our viewers more educational content and information regarding the climate crisis!
