A recent story in the San Francisco Examiner is calling out Daniel Lurie for overstating
his role in helping our city’s housing crisis and we think you should
see it.
833 Bryant, a cornerstone affordable
housing project, was made possible by the tireless efforts of many,
including the direct leadership and support of Mayor London Breed.
Mayor Breed's office and the City played a pivotal role to ensure the
project was built and its operation was a success.
The truth is that real leadership is not just about
claiming credit, it’s about ensuring a housing project is shepherded
through bureaucratic hurdles, so new, supportive homes are built for
the people who need them. Lurie has zero experience doing that heavy
lifting. But that’s what Mayor Breed did to ensure these homes were
built and supportive services are provided.
Mayor London Breed,
endorsed by members of the Nor Cal Carpenters Union and recognized by
the leaders of Mercy Housing and Tipping Point, has been on the ground
since Day 1, making affordable housing a reality for San
Franciscans.
In moments like these, the truth matters. Experience and
proven leadership matter. As
we look to the future and continue our work in making San Francisco a
city that thrives, we must support leaders with a record of
real
results.
We stand firmly by our Mayor,
London Breed, and her record of achievements for our city. But to keep
moving forward, we need your help more than ever.
Your support is crucial in these times. Please consider
donating or volunteering for our campaign today.
Together, we can continue to make
San Francisco a better place for all, with proven, effective
leadership.
