This is important. We're all in this together.

Dear john,

We have just three weeks – yes, 21 days – to elect pro-worker candidates up and down the ballot!

Keep reading to find out how you can join the fight.

What you need to know:

Tune in tonight as our union brother Colin Allred takes on Cancun Cruz in the only televised U.S. Senate debate. Allred earned the endorsement of Texas labor because he’s fought for us in the House of Representatives, and we know he’ll fight for us in the Senate. Ted Cruz, on the other hand, has consistently sold out working people for the benefit of his corporate donors at every turn. The debate kicks off at 7pm CDT and will be broadcast live across the state on local news stations. Find out where to watch in your area.

The choice couldn’t be clearer – and the race couldn’t be closer. A major elections analysis firm just changed the race from Likely Republican to Lean Republican – a sign that Cruz’s support is weakening. On top of that, Allred just raised a whopping $30 million in the third quarter of the year, outraising Cruz by $9 million in the same period.

Texas Labor is pulling out all the stops to elect Allred and other pro-worker candidates. We’re activating union members to talk to voters in union households and get out the vote for candidates who will fight for working Texans, from the state house to the White House.

Across the state, our local labor bodies and affiliates are hosting phone banks, text banks, and block walks every week from now until the election. They need our help to reach members – will you join us?

Just look how much fun we had this past weekend in San Antonio, where AFGE President Everett Kelley and Congressman Joaquin Castro joined us to knock doors for Kamala Harris, Colin Allred, and TX HD 118 candidate Kristian Carranza!

Can’t make it in person? Join the Texas AFL-CIO this Thursday, October 17th from 5-7:30pm for a virtual statewide text bank! You can join from anywhere to help us talk to our fellow union members about voting for our labor-endorsed candidates.

Our vote is our voice, and Texas Labor will be heard in November.

With billionaires lining up behind Donald Trump and J.D. Vance and pouring money into our state elections to elect anti-labor candidates, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Our goal is to contact nearly 100,000 union households – and we need your help.

Can we count on you to join the fight?

In Solidarity,

Team Texas AFL-CIO
