Here we go, all eyes are on us. The country is up for grabs, and everywhere you go, everyone you talk to—you can feel it. Presidential elections are different, and this one even more so. The candidates could not be further apart in almost every sense. They have different backgrounds, policies, morals—you name it, they’re different. Here’s the thing: it’s a toss-up, and right now, it can go either way. What that means is every side is doing everything they can to reach every single possible voter. We can look them in the eye and tell them, for a fact, your vote matters—because it does. The pressure is on, and believe me, we feel it. Three weeks to go, three long or short weeks depending on how you look at it. You might not see it, but there are tens of thousands of people working tirelessly on both sides to get the win. The White House is the prize, and we want it bad.
We want to take a moment to reach out and say thank you. Just by reading this email, you are showing us support. This is what we do—this is the moment we live for. But to get to this point requires incredible amounts of resources, sweat equity, sleepless nights, and exhausting days. Now, we want to zoom in a little so you can get a sense of just how difficult this job is. Imagine someone coming into your community, trying to influence you to vote for MAGA or Trump, and persuading you to see things their way. Folks, when we go into rural America, that’s what we’re walking into. Trump and the MAGA wing have a complete, dominant stronghold over rural America.
We have to change that. At No Dem Left Behind, that is our mission—that is what we do, or at least what we hope to do. It’s not just about a political win; it’s more than that. It’s about the depolarization of this country. We are the United States of America—that is what makes us strong. There are so many things we disagree on, but we need to be able to see eye to eye with our fellow citizens and at least acknowledge that success for our country means success for all of us.
This has been a really tough time for us, as it has been for everyone. We have a lot of work to do, and the work does not end on election day. We are back to work on November 5th, because we’re not going to wake up and find that all of our problems have gone away. We have to work for it, because our country is worth it.
