** COVID Restrictions remain in place

Arlene Foster MLA speaking at the Executive's daily media briefing.
Party Leader and First Minister Arlene Foster announced this week that the COVID-19 restrictions would remain in place in Northern Ireland for another three weeks, following a review by the Executive.

Speaking at the Executive's media briefing she outlined that the R0 figure for Northern Ireland is around 0.8. Whilst this is below the crucial 1.0 marker the fact it remains at this level means the restrictions are still deemed necessary and appropriate.

* Sir Jeffrey Donaldson MP joined a cross-party conference call with the Prime Minister this week which focused on the recovery plan for the UK.

* Gavin Robinson MP joined with Gregory Campbell MP and Paul Girvan MP in writing to the Chancellor calling for an extension of the Job Retention scheme ([link removed]) for industries including the local airline sector.

* Jim Shannon MP raised the need for Government support for charitable projects ([link removed])

* Ian Paisley MP raised airline safety concerns ([link removed]) during a debate on workplace safety.
