Ahead of tomorrow's FEC deadline, we ran the numbers, and we're still $6,148 short of what we need to meet our online fundraising goal.  

 

This is crucial for a few reasons, so before we ask you to help us reach our goal with a quick donation, let's talk through them: 

 

1️⃣ This is one of our last chances of the cycle to show journalists, analysts, and of course, ultra-wealthy far-right groups, the strength and reach of Delia's people-powered, people-first movement to defend her seat in Congress. 

 

2️⃣ With early voting in Illinois starting in just a few weeks, we're counting on support from folks across the district to ensure we can connect with voters and make sure they know how and when they're planning on casting their vote. 

 

3️⃣ Above all, meeting this fundraising goal gives us the resources we need to uplift other progressive candidates and share Delia's priorities for the future: comprehensive immigration reform, supporting our working families, and fighting to protect our democracy against MAGA extremism. 

 

This is a long-winded way of saying that the stakes are especially high this election season, and it is so important that we have what we need to get through to Election Day.

Delia Ramirez

Delia Ramirez has dedicated her life and career to public service and advocating for working families. She is a deeply rooted community leader and public servant whose values are informed by her upbringing as the daughter of Guatemalan immigrants.

In 2022, Delia was elected to represent Illinois’ 3rd Congressional District and became the first Latina Congresswoman in the Midwest. In just a few months in Congress, she has introduced legislation with bipartisan support to help student veterans, is co-leading the Dream and Promise Act, and is introducing legislation that gives tenants the right to organize. She serves as Vice Ranking Member of the Homeland Security Committee, and sits on the Veterans’ Affairs Committee. She is also a Board Member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) PAC, and CPC Special Order Hour Convener.

Delia also serves as Co-Chair of the Strengthening Democracy Task Force, as well as Vice Chair of the Equal Rights Amendment Caucus. She is a fighter who is determined to deliver for her constituents, and is working everyday to achieve equitable distribution of resources for Illinois infrastructure, clean energy, transportation, housing, healthcare, and jobs. She also advocates for federal resources so that Illinois may continue to be a welcoming state for new arrivals and asylum seekers.
