Juul is moving to D.C. Let's give them the cold shoulder. Tell the D.C. Council to ban all flavored tobacco products >>

John,

Juul – the company most responsible for the youth vaping crisis – is relocating from San Francisco to Washington, D.C. It is an oddly convenient move given they’ll soon be applying to the FDA to keep their highly-addictive, kid-friendly products on the shelves, don’t you think?

We are not fooled. Juul's relocation is an attempt to get closer to policymakers in Washington just as they’re fighting to keep selling flavored products that hook kids. We can’t let them succeed, especially in the middle of a lung disease pandemic. And that starts by showing them they’re not welcome in the nation’s capital.

The D.C. Council needs to hear from us – all of us.

Write the D.C. Council: Tell them to give Juul the welcome they deserve by ending the sale of all flavored tobacco and vaping products.

Youth tobacco use is the highest it’s been in nearly two decades, fueled by flavored e-cigarettes from companies like Juul. No matter where the company operates or whom their lobbyists try to influence, we will always see Juul for what they are: the company that created a crisis of youth addiction by hooking millions of kids on nicotine.

We must take bold and immediate action against these deplorable attempts to put kids in harm’s way.

Urge the D.C. Council to stop the sale of flavored e-cigarettes and other flavored tobacco products in the District immediately.

Your action is needed now more than ever as health experts warn that smoking and vaping could worsen COVID-19. Juul’s actions are reprehensible, but together we can hold them accountable.

Thanks for your advocacy,

Amy Barkley
