This weekly digest is a method to communicate updates, initiatives and policy changes from the Aging and Adult Services Division (AASD) and Disability Services Division (DSD) in a simplified way. We send this announcement every week on Tuesdays.

PolicyQuest search function ends for adult protection, aging and disability services [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* Lead agencies that use PolicyQuest
* *Effective date:* Oct. 16, 2024
* *Summary:* Lead agencies will no longer be able to search PolicyQuest for adult protection, aging and disability-related information from past responses.

 

CLQI grant RFP [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* Brain Injury (BI) Waiver, Community Access for Disability Inclusion (CADI) Waiver and Elderly Waiver (EW) customized living (CL) service providers
* *Submission deadline:* Dec. 13, 2024
* *Summary:* DHS seeks proposals from qualified responders for a CLQI grant to improve overall quality of life for people who receive CL services through the BI Waiver, CADI Waiver or EW.

 

CFSS implementation updates [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* People who receive personal care assistance (PCA), Consumer Support Grant (CSG) and CFSS services, families, providers, lead agencies and other interested parties
* *Summary:* DHS began the transition from PCA and CSG to CFSS on Oct. 1, 2024. We will provide regular updates early in the transition.

 

Recent CBSM updates [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* Lead agencies and all interested parties
* *Summary:* This announcement provides a summary of updates DHS made to the CBSM in September 2024.





DSD messages

New requirements after the end of temporary SMRT MnCHOICES policy [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* Lead agency staff, assessors, case managers, supervisors and other interested parties
* *Temporary policy expiration:* June 30, 2024
* *New policy start:* Oct. 1, 2024
* *Summary:* Effective Oct. 1, 2024, all SMRT referrals must include a MnCHOICES intake date. This date can either be the intake date or the actual MnCHOICES assessment date. The temporary policy that allowed lead agencies to use the SMRT referral date as the MnCHOICES assessment date in the SMRT Integrated Service Delivery System (ISDS) ended on June 30, 2024.
