Tailored for individuals with personal experience, affected individuals, and supporters, these workshops will offer comprehensive insights into careers related to recovery. This includes an overview of job roles, necessary qualifications and skills, as well as educational and career advancement opportunities within the field.

*A Beginner's Guide to Embracing Today's Technology* [ [link removed] ] (York Adult Education) is a course that offers a gradual, step-by-step approach to the fundamental technologies that can simplify and enhance your everyday activities. The course covers topics such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops, as well as an overview of email, texting, and chatting. Additionally, it includes guidance on navigating platforms such as Roku, Google, YouTube, Facebook, and online calendars. The course also delves into understanding voice assistants like Google, Siri, and Alexa, as well as using ZOOM, online banking, and shopping on Amazon. Participants will also learn best practices for passwords, logins, and safe browsing, along with how to identify and avoid online threats such as viruses, phishing, malware, ransomware, and more. The course will run on Tuesdays from October 22nd to January 28th, from 6:00-7:30 pm.
