The Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) turned 47 on October 12! It's a moment to celebrate what CRA has achieved since 1977 - literally trillions in bank lending, investments and philanthropy directed to underserved communities all across America.
But that's also a reminder of what's at stake right now in federal court, where some of the largest players in the banking industry are trying to undermine the rules they must follow to comply with the law.
