Last week, President Trump visited Aurora, Colorado, to address the city's growing crisis fueled by the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, which has thrived under Kamala Harris' open border policies. During his visit, Trump unveiled "Operation Aurora," a plan to deport criminal illegal immigrants and restore law and order.
Under Harris' watch, illegal immigration from Venezuela surged from 50,000 in FY21 to nearly 335,000 in FY23, while deportations of convicted criminals plummeted by 74%. As a result, violent gangs like Tren de Aragua have seized control in Aurora, engaging in crimes such as human trafficking, sexual abuse, and illegal firearms possession.
Alarmed residents and officials have shared viral footage showing gang members openly carrying weapons. Trump vowed that, if re-elected, he will secure the border, halt the influx of criminals, and invoke the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to dismantle migrant criminal networks like Tren de Aragua, bringing safety back to American communities.
With his unwavering focus on border security, it's no surprise that the National Border Patrol Council has officially endorsed Donald J. Trump for President.
