As promised, below is a toolkit to thank child care providers, and get the message out to continue advocating for child care. The more we advocate and bring child care to the attention of our state officials, the better chance we will see more help! We are including 2 options to participate in today's actions below. Please use this as a guide and feel free to modify to meet the needs of your city or county! |

Option #1 | Thank You Parade Every year, we dedicate a day in May to give child care providers the recognition they deserve. This year, Child Care Provider Appreciation Day is today — Friday, May 8. We invite you to organize a “thank you” car parade to honor child care providers. Please see the sample Press Release and Planning Guide. |

Option #2 | Social Media Thank You — Virtual Rally
We are asking all of our child care and afterschool providers and families to share your stories about why these programs are important to you during and post- COVID-19 on social media, using the actions below. |

Make a video of yourself sharing why child care and afterschool programs are important to you, and why New York must #FundChildCare now. Start with:
