Victories for voters in Southwest swing states

  • An Arizona judge rejected a request from a right-wing group to verify the citizenship of Arizona's 40,000 "federal-only" voters before they can vote this fall. The judge said the plaintiffs lacked standing and their request violates federal law.


  • The right-wing group Pigpen Project voluntarily dismissed its three lawsuits seeking to remove around 30,000 voters from Nevada's rolls before the November election.

  • Black lawmakers in Michigan called on the state's attorney general to launch an investigation into a Republican congressional candidate who put out an ad targeting Black voters that lists the wrong date for Election Day.


  • Detroit reached a settlement with the Republican National Committee and agreed to try to hire an equal number of Republican and Democratic poll workers for each of the city's voting sites during the November election.
