“30 cars burned in Uptown parking lot fire early Monday, Houston Fire Department says,” Houston Chronicle's Caroline Wilburn — “About 30 vehicles in a parking garage in Uptown were damaged or destroyed early Monday in a fire that is being investigated as a possible arson, officials said.
The fire was reported about 3:47 a.m. in the second floor at the garage near 2400 Yorktown Street, north of Westheimer Road, according to the Houston Fire Department. Most of the cars are burned beyond repair, a spokesperson with the fire department said.
No injuries were reported.
An investigation into the cause of the fire could take days or weeks, the spokesperson said." Houston Chronicle ($)
