🇬🇧 Over 200 mosques across the UK opened their doors to welcome people of all backgrounds, celebrating Britain’s rich multi-faith heritage.

Under this year's theme, "Sharing Stories", the event fostered conversations, solidarity, and understanding through tours, discussions, and shared refreshments.

This year’s theme, “Reclaiming Narratives,” highlights the true stories of Black history and culture, celebrating the untold achievements and complexities of Black heritage.

Black Muslims have been integral to both British and Islamic history, enriching our communities and culture.

The MCB published a landmark report highlighting Black Muslim voices across British society, emphasising the need to not only change narratives but also address racist and structural barriers that hinder inclusion.

Our Assistant Secretary-General, Dr Shazad Amin attended the National Burial Council’s 9th Annual Conference in Leicester.

The Conference featured an outstanding lineup of speakers and workshops, attendees engaged in valuable discussions on topics critical to burial practices, particularly relevant to the Muslim community.

Last month, the Grenfell Inquiry report examined the devastating Grenfell fire of 2017, which claimed 72 lives and left survivors waiting for justice.

The Muslim Council of Britain is deeply shocked by the findings of the Grenfell Inquiry. The report is a damning indictment of systemic failures across government, building contractors, fire safety experts, and council staff.
