John,
Someone like Lauren Boebert actually had every reason not to follow Trump over the ledge like a lemming after the violent Capitol insurrection. A representative from a trending-blue state, she had a possible future ahead of her where she moderated and rejected the most hateful parts of Trumpism and easily won re-election in her old R+6 district.
Yet, since then, Boebert has gone full-tilt racist in her zeal for Trump's fascist takeover of the GOP—and, they hope, our country.
Warming up the already-rowdy crowd in Aurora, Colorado on Friday, Boebert endorsed the debunked idea that gang members were controlling parts of the city and trafficking children openly without pushback.
“In Colorado, we don’t need Kyle Clark and 9News to tell us what’s happening in our own backyard,” Boebert said as the crowd booed wildly.
“Our backyard is looking like an episode of Narcos!”
