Hi friends!
I wanted to share a little with you today about what your support makes possible! There are three big things I’m able to do because of you:
1.
Hit
the
campaign
trail
on
behalf
of
Kamala
Harris
and
Tim
Walz
in
battleground
states,
where
I
can
talk
with
voters
about
why
I’m
so
excited
to
support
the
Harris-Walz
ticket,
and
why
we
need
folks
to
volunteer
and
vote.
2.
Offer
support
to
my
fellow
Democratic
House
candidates
who
are
running
in
really
tough
districts

races
that
we
need
to
win
if
we
want
to
take
back
our
majority.
3.
And
last
but
definitely
not
least

your
support
makes
it
possible
for
me
to
hit
the
campaign
trail
in
CA-51,
talk
with
my
constituents
all
across
the
district
about
their
priorities,
and
work
on
solutions
together.
All three of these things are important to me. I’m really proud to be a member of House Democratic leadership, and part of that means doing whatever I can to help build up our majority so we can get things done .
But nothing is more meaningful to me than making sure the people of my district – whether they vote for me or not – know they have someone looking out for them in Congress.
At the end of the day, that’s the entire point of what we’re doing! I got into public service because I believe we all deserve to have someone representing us who truly cares about our livelihoods, our opportunities, and our families.
So in that spirit, here’s a little of what’s been happening on the ground in San Diego in recent weeks:

Our friends in the organized labor movement showed up strong to knock on doors in Mira Mesa and Lemon Grove on behalf of their endorsed candidates – I’m so grateful to have their support!

I joined a CBFD (Committed to Building a Fair Democracy) Indivisible phone bank in La Mesa with longtime friends and supporters.

We kicked off canvasses in Scripps Ranch, Sabre Springs, Allied Gardens, San Carlos, and College Area. I’m thankful for all the great volunteers who are hitting the doors to get out the vote!

I stopped by the Unite Here Local 30 picket line in downtown San Diego to talk with workers and drop off some sweet treats (from one of my favorite spots, Rose Donuts!). I’m always proud to stand in solidarity with workers fighting for better treatment.

And our new yard signs came in! If you’d like to display one in your yard, you can add your name online and we’ll be in touch to drop one off to you . [[link removed]] (Fun fact – my mom personally delivers our yard signs to supporters. Thanks, Mom!)
There’s so much more to come over the next 22 days, and I’m incredibly grateful to this team for making it possible for me to be out on the trail.
I’m honored to serve my district in Congress and I don’t take this job for granted for a single second. So if you can, please consider contributing to my re-election campaign so I can keep up this work and make sure I deliver a strong victory against my extreme MAGA opponent. [[link removed]]
This election is about making the right choices for the future of our country – and it’s also about sending a loud and clear message that you cannot run on a platform of bigotry and conspiracy theories in this country and still win.
Thanks for speaking up with me.

Grassroots donations really matter to the success of Democratic campaigns. If you can’t give much right now, I want you to know that even $1 or $5 makes a difference. [[link removed]] And if you can’t give at all, I understand. I appreciate you taking the time to read these emails and stay connected with my campaign – regardless of whether or not you’re able to chip in financially. Thank you!
