We'll keep this brief, John. Here’s what you need to know about Robert Roberson’s case — and why you need to act now:

FIRST

Robert has spent over two decades on death row for a crime that never occurred. When his 2-year-old daughter, Nikki, passed away from prior medical conditions, Robert was wrongly convicted and sentenced to death under the shaken baby syndrome hypothesis.

THEN

Despite new scientific evidence proving that Nikki died accidentally, not of homicide, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals denied Robert Roberson's request for habeas corpus without reviewing the merits of the claim. This new medical and scientific evidence proves that there was no crime — and that Robert is innocent.

NOW

Bipartisan Texas lawmakers, medical and scientific experts, advocates for parental rights, autism organizations, best-selling novelist John Grisham, lead detective Brian Wharton, and more are all urging Gov. Abbott to grant Robert clemency. And we need you to join them, John.
